131 reviews of Opticaltel “Ever since I’ve started service with this company it’s been the worst experience I have ever received from any company in my entire life. Just 4 days into my service and my Internet went down. I work until late and when I came home from work I called tech support to help me bring my Internet back up and “tech support” couldn’t help me because the real people that handle tech support don’t come in until the next morning. The only thing these people that call themselves tech support could offer is common sense stuff like unplugging the router and plugging it back in. The end result of that call was that I got a trouble ticket. The next morning I called to resolve this issue the “tech support” people told me that they couldn’t help me with my issue because I didn’t have a laptop and that it’s against their policy to help me set up the WiFi using my tablet which I know to be complete BS. The very first time I called to setup my service that representative said the opposite and the Internet was up in a matter of 20 minutes. All in all the company has untrained personnel as support for their customers. They don’t know what they are doing and provide no help whatsoever when needed. I have no choice but to use them for now. But as soon as a move out of this condo I will be happy to go back to AT&T or even…..and I can’t believe I’m saying this, Comcast. Anyone but opticaltel.”
